Mrs. Barbara Blanchard is 
our school's namesake.

Mrs. Blanchard was a student, teacher 
and principal at Washington Elementary School.  She served our district for 
37 years from 1961-1998.

Every year we celebrate Mrs. Blanchard's birthday on March 25th with a 
special celebration.
